The geometric surface of interlocking raised cubes creates deep shadow and dimension, giving the glaze paths to flow. Color pools in the recesses and breaks across the edges during the final firing, making every piece one-of-a-kind.

Every Hammerly Ceramics piece is made by Curt and his team in his home studio near Denver, Colorado. Each design begins in 3D modeling software, is printed as a physical prototype, and used to create a custom plaster mold system. The HC logo is cast into the bottom of every mug alongside the year in which it was crafted. The cast pieces are then hand-cleaned, fired, glazed, and fired a final time in a computer-controlled gas kiln where the glazes come alive.

The result is high-fired, glazed porcelain: strong, non-porous, and built to last.

I have followed Hammerly for 6 months with this mug in my cart. Finally decided to just buy it since I've been obsessed for so long. Exceeded my expectations! My only caveat is that once I had this in hand, I didn't want to drink out of my other mugs anymore. The cubes texture feels amazing in your hand, and the mug is surprisingly sturdy. All around excellence.

bought as a present for my sister. she loves it too much and is making it precious. :p I’m going to have to figure out how to get her more comfortable with it. My biggest selling point (beyond what you can already see on the site — gorgeous work) is how the pieces feel in hand. All the pieces I’ve purchased— this one too — is fun or ¿comforting? to touch and hold. When you get your hands on one you’ll see what I mean.

These are two of my biggest struggles with selling my work! 1) Buying online means that I am asking people to imagine how the texture feels without being able to experience it and 2) convincing people that these mugs are durable and meant to be used just like any other mug. This mug is beautiful, the handle and texture make it wonderful to hold, and its the perfect size for adding as much or as little creamer as I want. I am in love with the colors and how it looks like a bunch of hearts are surrounding the mug!!! Definitely my favorite mug now!!

Awesome craftsmanship. This Mug showed me the difference between run-of-the-mill ceramic products & quality artisanal hand-crafted hand-glazed ceramics. The actual item turned out to be better than the pictures in the end. My only complaint is that Kurt should upload more regularly on his YT channel. I would love to see more crafting, glazing, & firing videos. 😊😊
