This beautiful translucent porcelain candle holder/vase is designed and made by Curt Hammerly in his studio outside Denver colorado. The perfect material and thickness allow a soft glow of light to peer through the surface. This is an unglazed piece but just as durable as any high-fire porcelain—a wonderful soothing accent to a bedroom or bathtub.
They are 8 inches (20 cm) tall, 8 inches (20 cm) wide, and 4.5 inches (10 cm) deep. The opening is 4 inches (10cm) by 2 inches (5cm).
This is one of the first designs Curt has created for 2023. Every Hammerly Ceramics piece is handmade by Curt in his studio outside Denver, Colorado. Starting from a prototype designed in 3D modeling software, each design has custom molds produced in-house. These unique molds are cast in porcelain, fired, coated in handmade glazes, and high-fired again in a custom computer-controlled gas kiln.
